Open-source mission framework and a cohort-based accelerator give Physical AI builders a structured path from prompt to production.

At Automate 2026 in Chicago, we unveiled two launches aimed at the hardest problem in Physical AI: getting cognitive robots out of the lab and onto the ground floor. Odyssey, an open-source framework for defining, running, and benchmarking robot training missions, and Botcamp, a hybrid, multi-week, cohort-based accelerator on the Lovell AI Platform, give builders a shared language for missions and a structured path for shipping robots that actually work in the real world.
Physical AI is moving fast, but builders are still stuck stitching together brittle scripts, one-off demos, and isolated training runs. Odyssey introduces a common, hardware-agnostic way to describe what a robot is supposed to do — the mission — and to evaluate whether it actually did it. Botcamp wraps that framework in a guided, peer-driven curriculum so teams don't have to figure it out alone.

Odyssey is an open-source framework for defining, running, and benchmarking robot training missions. It is hardware-agnostic, Edge-agnostic, and released under Apache-2.0 so any team — research lab, integrator, or OEM — can adopt it without lock-in. Every mission in Odyssey is organized around three primitives: Shape, Robot, and Lifecycle.
Shape is what the mission is: the goal, constraints, and success criteria. Robot is what the robot is: embodiment, skills, and capabilities. Botcamp is a hybrid, multi-week, cohort-based accelerator where you and other builders take your robots through a guided curriculum together — from brain design to a live Demo Day where your robot shows what it's learned. Hosted on the Lovell AI Platform, it supports 100+ embodiments and follows a four-stage path: Brain Design & Agent Skills, Simulation in the Playground, Training & Evaluation, and Demo Day.
Cohort members get free credit hours on the Lovell AI Platform, mentorship from working roboticists, ecosystem access through Lovell AI partners, and a live Demo Day graduation.
